Units of analysis are the building blocks of any research. they talk in detail about what and how we are conducting a study. In other words, the unit of analysis is at the level when conclusion of the study is identified. In quantitative researches, units of analysis are generally the units of observation could be students and units of analysis classes, if classes are compared. Therefore, when researches are done on agency records, then the secondray data acts as units of analysis. This data could be in the form of statistical tables, raw data in the form of scores, derived scores etc.

There are various methods of smapling like, simple random sampling, srtaified random sampling, quota or cluster sampling, area sampling etc. which may be uesd to collect data.
