1. They are just sexually involved - this is not at all true as the research suggests . Polyamorous couples are not just sexually involved but also emotionally involved with each other . They are connected by emotions and feelings too.

2. The face jealousy issues - no this is not true. Since it involves more than two spouses people generally think there will be feelings of jealousy amd envy amongst them but it is not true . The couples are involved with each other by their own choice so there is no place for envy or jealousy.

3. They are not escapist- critics say that such couples are bored of the normal routine relationship and so tend to induldge with other partners for satisfaction . But this is not true . Infact such couples say that involving with other partners as well results in greater self actualization .
