When one enters into the college, a vast amount of syllabus awaits you. One need to work on hos/her memory to improve the learning skills as this is very importnat for academic excellence. The following ways can be incorporated to improve the memory:

1. The brain remembers better when it’s given information in small doses. So, try to make a time-table and don't overburden yourself.

2. If you need to learn a large chunk of material, it is better to first read the whole section through once or twice to get a basic understanding before breaking it into smaller parts to learn each one in detail.

3. A study system is simply a standard method of approaching the study of any material. One of the best known methods is the SQ3R: Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review. Try to follow this for a better learning and memory.
