Answer #1

Praise has shown positive effects on the self esteem on children in studies. Reinforcement and encouragement in the form of praise has shown to have a positive effect on the self esteem on children. But, overpraising children with low self esteem may be counterproductive, whereas children with higher self esteem are benefited when given excess praise. It was seen in a study that children who were praised by their parents were more likely to tackle challenges and better at persisting on tasks.
