What role does (presence or lack of) communication play in the Prisoner’s Dilemma? Would communication between “prisoners” lead to positive outcome(s)? Why or why not? Explain.
Since in case of the Prisoner’s Dilemma; two rational people might not cooperate even in conditions when; it is in their best interest to do so. Thus the role lack of communication play in this situation is; serving more time in prison. Communication between “prisoners” will ideally lead to the outcome i.e. more time in prison as this was the condition in the Game theory for the prisoner's dilemma. Remaining silent will lead to less time in prison for both the convicts.
