what two U.S. value contradicts with arranged marriages

Homework Answers

Answer #1

1. For arranges marriage more than the boy liking girl and vice versa , its more important for the families to like each other . So the girl family has to like the boy’s family and vice versa. In the American culture individualism is promoted more and less focus is on family relationships . So this would be difficult for the american couple to put emphasis on the family more . They would rather decide to separate from family andstart a nuclear family .

2. Informality is ome of the values of the american culture. Since arranged marriage involves alot of formalities infact it is itself a formality , it would be difficult to do an arranged marriage in USA.

An object and two lenses are arranged so that the object is to the left of and 40cm from a converging lens. The magnitude of the focal length of the first ens is 25cm. A diverging lens is 100cm to the right of the first lens and the magnitude of the focal length is 15cm. Suppose two speakers are arranged such that they emit identical sound waves, and are separated by 4m. A microphone is positioned 3m above one of the speakers. If the speed of sound is 340 m/s, and both speakers start in phase, are turned on at the same time, and emit the same frequency, what is the lowest frequency such that the microphone picks up no sound? You may ignore amplitude reduction due to distance for this problem.

Three point charges are arranged so that they each lie on the vertex of what appears to be an equilateral triangle of side length 1 cm. At the bottom, the two charges are the same (from left to right), each having charge +10 nC (nanoCoulomb). At the vertex on the top, the charge there is (-)20 nC (it's a negative charge). Find the magnitude and direction of the net electric force on the top charge due to the bottom two.
