The process of ending an intimate relationship with a spouse, partner, or significant other involves communicating in a nice fashion about the decision by telling the reasons and taking the responsibility and then talking about the legal way to end the relationship.

The psychological and physiological responses for both parties vary; in some, it may be a great emotional shock, in other cases, people may be filled be vengeance. Generally, it is seen that; men are initially more negative about divorce than women and they devote more energy in attempting to salvage the marriage. Once divorced men remarry more quickly than women.
