Give an example of when an experimenter can change a study (bias) and how a participant can change a study.
The reserach biases are much more common in qualitative researches than quantitative researches. In quantitative research it can be eliminated , but in qualitative bias , we know it exists , but it becomes difficult to completely eliminate it.
For exmplae : In an experiment conducting the health benefits of Acai berrier , all the participants were females. They all belonged to a particular age group , or they had similar backgrounds or health statuses.
Participant bias can also affect the study significantly. Many participants behave differently in pressure and try to portray their best version or atleast the version that is socially acceptable. In such a case they usually give false or biased responses.
For example : The questions regarding their income or religion , family bonding , trust issues etc are falsely answered.
