Yes, legalization of Marijuana is a good thing. The following reasons justify this answer:

  • The criminalisation of consumption of Marijuana was rooted in racial prejudice. When Mexicans immigrated to America they smoked weed a lot. Consumption of weed was associated with them. In order to show their disapproval towards the Mexican community.
  • Marijuana has known medicinal benefits. This includes relief from glaucoma, used in treatment of cancer etc.
  • It is also k own to have a number of health benefits as long as it isn't smoked with tobacco.
