History of behavior modification;

History of behavior modification had its start in the laboratory-based experiments of classical conditioning of Ivan. P. Pavlov (1849 -1936). He was concerned with stimuli that evoke involuntary responses like; food, noise etc.

Edward L Thorndike (1874- to1949); followed Ivan. P. Pavlov formed the law of effect and was focused on learning the new behavior.

B.F. Skinner (1904- 1990) focused on learning that resulted from consequences. According to him when an association is formed between a behavior and a consequence it is known as classical conditioning.
