Attorney general A Mitchell Palmer said that America would be invaded by communist and the U.S government would be overthrown,this was "alleged"menace posed by aliens/anarchists.Intially there was a panic surrounding the threat of communism ,also known as "Red Scare" and Palmer launched his infamous Palmer raids to protect the nation from the alleged threat,but the prediction did not come to pass.People disapproved of Palmer's raid andconsidered it as a form of violating civil liberties.
