Anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa are both eating disorders.
Anorexia is a form of self starvation whereas the bulimia is the condition wherein the individual gets engaged in binge eating followed by the repetitive cycles of starvation and self - induced vomiting.
Both of these disorders are characterised by the increased drive for thinness and hence cause disturbance in eating behavior.
In Anorexia, a significant weight loss of 15% or more of the body weight occurs , but in bulimia the person is at the normal weight or above.
