Should there be one big "unified science" Why or Why not?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Having a “unified science” would be the ideal, because it would mean that all phenomena that exist and we are aware of have a single underlying cause. It would represent the epitome of advancement of human knowledge. Currently, we have a range theories and perspectives that explain the world around us, most of which offer partial explanations at best. There are a very few “truths” that we have been able to establish with absolute certainty and conviction. Thus, I do feel that a unified science should be a goal across all the disciplines.
