Answer #1

Socialization is a big contributor to the social construction of gender. This kind of socialization is known as gender socialization. Gender socialization means that boys and girls are socialized differently from each other. Boys follow specific gender norms and girls follow other specific gender norms.

There are a lot of unsaid cultural rules for boys and girls. Boys are given toys to play such as motorbikes, cars etc and girls are given dolls, small cooking vessels etc. In dressing, boys are worn colors such blue and girls pink. College students, who are male are more encouraged to pursue careers in engineering, computer science, and females are more encouraged to go for arts or social sciences.
