Primary prevention mainly involves the promotion of elimination of alcohol abuse, health and its consequences by community-wide efforts, which includes as improving knowledge, altering environment, and even changing the social structure, values systems.
Secondary prevention includes the approaches which is available to individuals and even to the populations for early detection in high-risk groups and even prompts and effective intervention for correction and to minimize alcohol abuse in the earliest years of onset.
Tertiary prevention includes measures which is taken to reduce existing impairments and disabilities and which is used to minimize suffering caused by alcohol abuse.
