The main threats and boundaries of freedom during the Revolution
were:
Only white men of sound economic background were considered as
free, they enjoyed freedom politically, socially and economically.
Some states considered only those white men free who owned land or
were able to pay taxes,to them political right to vote was
given.
Women and blacks were denied of any political freedom on the
assumption of natural incapacities. It was believed that women
lacked the essential qualifications for political participation
.Hence, they were denied the right to control one's own person ,were
also denied of right to vote.
These distinction on the basis of class, gender and race posed
great threat to freedom.
