I do feel that adolescents need to be educated about S.T.I.’s and addiction chiefly because they are perhaps the most vulnerable group to these phenomenon. Adolescents are likely to be engaging in impulsive and novelty seeking behaviour during their age group, and some of these behaviours may lead to unwanted consequences such as sexually transmitted infections or even addictions. Education would play a key role in creating sufficient awareness among adolescents with respect to these risk factors. It would also prevent adolescents from obtaining knowledge from untrustworthy and unreliable sources of information.
