Main similarity between monarchy & dictatorship is that they are both governed by one individual, not answerable to anyone. Both are generally non democratic of government. In Monarchies, rule of the country pass by heredity of royal family. But in dictatorship any citizen can become the dictator.
A difference seen between democracy and communism is in the term of economic systems. In communism, the government control production & distribution of resources and share equally in society.
But democracy is based on the equality & freedom. Democracy is government of the people, for the people, By the people.
