The five percepts of Thomas Aquinas Deontology all theory is:

  • To protect innocent life.
  • To keep up the order in the society.
  • To worship God.
  • To look after and educate one's children.
  • To reproduce and continue the human race.

Of these the first two premises are called efficiency theory and the last two are the fitness model of natural law theory.

The first two premises of natural law theory of efficiency support the death or capital punishment as it's the moral duty to protect innocent lives and to maintain the law and order of the society.

The fitness model of natural law theory oppose capital punishment as one's right to reproduce,to continue the human race and to look after the children and give them good education is taken away.

This way of dealing with the morality of capital punishment counted as the strenght of the fitness model of the natural law theory.
