I will prefer the comparative cases studies over single case.Because Comparative case studies are based on analysing and synthesizing of the analogy, dissimilarity, and similar patterns between two or more cases that shows similar goal/focus in a manner that created information that is more suitable to generalizing causal questions. Why & due to what cause perticular policies or task work or fail.

comparative case studies uses a collection of qualitative & quantitative information. It includes information from documentation of projects, measures of performance, various surveys, observation and interviews.
