According to Rawls in the domain of original position there are three things which are present

• The 'Just' cannot be chosen as what we think . This cannot be done on the idea of justice which is already existing
• Here the self interest of people comes into play and they choose the principles on the basis of it .This results in conflict and disagreement as every different group has chosen principles based on their own self interest .
• To avoid this rawl's gives the concept of Original position. In this position people know nothing about themselves or about the situation or the reason which leads to this argument which is from a biased perspective .

In order to avoid this, Rwals says that we have to imagine that people who are in this position do not know what their social status or social position is in society . This ignorance is called Veil of ignorance
