The used this structures as a medium to connect with the spirts belonging to their ancestors, which acts as a medium to connect with All Mighty. These megalith sites were even used as burial grounds too where any artifacts were aslo kept like ornaments, pots, etc. There were some beliefs that these were the places where giants used to rest and even there as many grave that as names that showed that people really believed that those were resting place for giants.
