Answer #1

The three- term contingency is the basic unit of analysis in the analysis of operant behavior and is made of the following elements:

(1)antecedent

(2)behavior

(3)consequence

For example: An employee who misses work may suffer a cut in wages. Thus, the employee never misses the work without notice.

Thus, in this case:

Antecedent: Cut in wages or loss of income

Behavior: Employee missing the work

Consequence: Employee does not miss the work
