The first time I remember being aware of each of the following: race, gender, sexuality, and class is when I grew up as a child and went to school.

Race; is based on the physical characteristics, and ethnicity, which encompasses cultural traditions including language and religion, which play pivotal and socially significant roles in our lives.

Gender; the state of being male or female (typically used with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones.

Sexuality is the way people experience and express themselves sexually.

Class; a system of ordering society whereby people are divided into sets based on perceived social or economic status
