Eric Fromm's theory of love revolves the idea of love that is purely based on faith or is a reflection of faith , he says if a person has little faith in love then his love will also be little.

Some of his reflections are:

- That love can be taught to people and it is born with time. But saying that love can be measured or analysed will be wrong as it pure and undying in nature. Also, Fromm was against the idea that people fall in love as it is developed gradually.There is no mystery or miracle because of which love happens.

- He said, if someone loves an individual but is quite indifferent to others than this kind of equation is not love but mere attachment or your ego boosting.

- In 1956 art of loving,Eric Fromm that love is the only sane and satisfactory solution to all the problems of human existence.
