Do you think Callahan make a convincing case against euthanasia? why or why not?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The views that Callahan puts forward is against the use of euthanasia. He states three grounds of opposing euthanasia, which are:

- he states that these are "morally mistaken"

- that even though the pain in terminally ill is alleviated, this is not the correct way.
-and that this might trigger a wider killing phenomena.

the grounds provided by Callahan do not seem to be very convincing, in my opinion. This is because, none of his arguments are complete in themselves or pertain to the logical line of thinking. These are just directives of the fact that this should not be done or this is wrong.
