Identity politics refers to people joining hands with others who are in some way similar to them such as, race, class, geography etc. this would mean that they would try to promote their own interest while rejecting others who are different from them. This type of identity politics reflects the fear of the founding fathers that factions might prevent the country from progressing forward. It remains a great threat to the country’s development. Slogans such as, the white nations, preferences to white, discrimination based on race, skin color, geographical locations etc. would create more confusion and division among people.
