Do you live in a food desert? Camden truly is one. It is remarkably hard to find fresh produce anywhere in central Camden. Apart from a banana or apple from 7/11 I can't think of many places where affordable healthy natural food can be procured. This is a common thing in America. How can we create a world in which food deserts would be transformed into food wetlands?
In fact, I don't live in a food desert. I am from India and food is in plenty, easily available and fresh.
But I can suggest some of the ways through which food deserts can be transformed into food wetlands-
1- Multinational corporations can come up with an intermediary facet which reflects novelty and through such innovative endeavours, a new franchise system can lead to more food wetlands.
2- Food wetlands can be an exceptionally distinguished attribute in the context of corporate social responsibility.
3- The local retailers and small grocery shopkeepers can contribute to enhancing food availability.
4- online marketing and personal selling can also tend to be better options.
5- Farmers and other entities can come together on cooperative basis and turn food deserts into food wetlands.
