What are some of the major concerns that a community may face regarding disaster and emergency preparedness, and how can community stakeholders make a positive social change in their community by creating a risk reduction plan?

Some of the major concerns that a community may face regarding disaster and emergency preparedness involve lack of awareness amongst the community regarding the issue i.e. educating the community and making it sensitive about the issue. Accurate forecasting of the disaster and arrangement of the financial resources to handle an emergency is required. Hazard Knowledge including the; hazard identification and assessment of the impact of the risk and vulnerability analysis. The community stakeholders can make a positive social change in their community by creating a risk reduction plan which includes the assessment of the possible risks and cost of emergency preparedness. Generating funds for it through government agencies by actively lobbying for it and through the community by educating the community and generating an awareness in the community.
