In "Learning to Read," Malcolm X tells us that he learned to read by teaching himself. What else did he teach himself while he taught himself to read, how did this process differ from the way people learn to read?

Malcolm x had a different approach for the learning process to reading. In order to learn a word, he learns words from dictionary directly.

He learned everything by memorising as many as the word he could.this was a different approach than conventional approaches of learning because he was self-motivated and wants to learn all the book offered to him.His desire to learn and gain knowledge motivated him to learn in a different manner from early conventional readers.

His learning method was direct learning or instant learning instead of conventional gradual learning process.
