Please explain libet’s delay and two conclusions that can be drawn from its interpretation

Answer #1

Lover's delay is a theory propounded by Benjamin Liver on human consciousness. According to Libet,A period of approximately half a second between a person's skin being touched and the resulting consciousness experience of being touched, although the brain receives the signal and respond to the stimulus with an evoked potential after a little more than a hundreth of a second and a reflex response can occur within about a tenth of a second.

According to Live, the reason why we do not notice the half a second delay is that our conscious exleriences of sensations are antedated to the time of evoked potential thereby creating the illusions that the sensations are almost immediate.
