In this article, a review has been made about the treatments that have been offered to substance abuse. It is being said that though there are better therapies and methods for substance abuse and that the professionals are also eager to look into these methods, the practice of the newer methods has not been seen in being implemented. This study and review of treatments have showed how big the gap is between science and the methods that are being devised and the practice that is being carried out. This article is concerned with how different methods can be used such that these newer methods can be implemented as practice. Also, it has been observed that in order to provide encouragement to these practitioners, incentives may also be required so that they would adopt the newer ways.
