Same sex marriage is the marriage of same-sex couples entered into civil or religious ceremony. To be more precise, same sex marriage is the practice of marriage between two same sex men or two same sex women. Although same sex marriage is regulated through law, religiOn and custom in most countries of the world the legal and social responses towards same sex has been varied widely. In countries like India same sex marriage is immoral and illegal while in other countries it is valid and legal.

ARGUMENTS

According to Historian John Boswell, Same sex marriage is recognized bythe Roman Catholic Church in medieval Europe ,while others have disputed this claim. The issue of same sex marriage frequently sparked emotional and political clashes between supporters and opponents

By the 21st century several jurisdictions both at National and sub national levels had legalized same sex marriage. But on the other hand several jurisdictions ,constitutional measures have been adopted to prevent same sex marriages from being sanctioned or laws were enacted that refused to recognize same sex marriage.
