Answer #1

One sample T test is used to determine when the sample population has got a specific mean. At times the mean can be hypothesized. The two independent sample t test compares the means of two independent groups. It is commonly used to study statistical differences between these two.No subject can influence any other group.

A - It is one sample t test, since mean of night shift workers who recommend 8 hours of sleep can be found out.

B - Democrats and Republics are two different groups, statiscal connection can be found out by studying attidues of morality. Hence here two-independent-sample t test.

C - It is again two-independent-sample t test, since there are two different groups rats placed on a continuous or an intermittent reward schedule. And the difference between their brain activity is measured.
