What are the benefits of using play as a therapy modality ?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Play therapy is effective specially when incorporated with other methods. It is mainly focused towards children. It can help children to communicate more effectively and allows a way for personal growth. Play therapy creates a non intrusive play environment for children. The therapist tries to observe the child and learn more about his symbolic world. It allows children to express any problems they have through play. A direct approach in therapy may not work for children as well.
