One's social position is usually determined by factors like; education, wealth, income and power. The social stratification in a society comprises of resources distributed unevenly. A person's position in the society is evaluated through the income they make. The more wealth you have, the richer are you considered. The individuals’ who have the most resources, represent the top layer followed by lesser and then least. Individuals with power are able to make decisions. With wealth and education comes power. This is how the society is stratified which affects one's social position.
