1). Flagellants were extremely religious group people in middle ages in Europe. The Flagellants thought that Plague was the punishment given by God for the sins done by the people. They often did not bathe for days which caused Plague to spread and cause death.
2). Because of religious beliefs they did not do much about curing Plague rather they acceptes it as punishment for their sins. They did not maintain proper hygiene and avoided bathing for days which made the Plague infection worse even causing deaths.
