Yes, the professor should comply the Indian student request .Passing out the handouts with left hand is conidered bad in India and according to culture of India ,Indians avoid passing out things with left hand ,however it depends what things they are passing example, they do not pass money with left hand, gifts ,books, food are some of the things which Indian do not pass out with left hands.

In my opinion the professor should obey the culture of Inida and listen to the request of Indian boy . As it will not hurt his sentiments .Indians follow their culture very firmly , so the boy is just following his culture .
