For the following assess whether each study is considered an experiment (and if it is, whether true or quasi) and explain why/why not.
A group of researchers wants to compare the effectiveness of two types of diet on weight loss. Participants of different levels of health status and weight are randomly assigned to the two dieting programs (treatment A and B). Treatment A and B follow the same diet but differ in which how participants engage in the diet. Treatment A is based on self-discipline along with health and weight check-ups every 3 months and participants on treatment B are contacted for weekly health and weight check-ups. The study participation duration is 1 year.
Hello !
Yea this can be considered an experiment as per my knowledge and yes this kind of experiment is true because any experiment usually starts with a aim or a question and then the question is put to test by researching or conditioning individual tests and then the result is drawn to see if the aim or the question is justified or not hence the above question I mean the exoweimwnt you posted has all these elements and is true hence this is why it is considered an experiment.
Thankyou, hope this helped!
