One of the most influential approaches to psychology is the most modern and researched upon, the cognitive approach to psychology. This approach talks about how the cognitive processes of an individual play a vital role in determining the behaviour of that individual. This approach mainly revolves around the idea that it is our thoughts that contribute to the formation of a belief system and beliefs shape our personality and behaviour. For changing the behaviour of an individual, what actually needs to be changed is the thought process of the individual.
