The Solo legal child custody works best in those cases where one parent is absent or unavailable for taking major decisions regarding child's life, as education, health etc. It is also ideal for those cases where one of the parent exhibit high risk behavior, and for safety and best upbringing it is essential to provide solo custody to the stable parent.

But, this legal standard for child custody is not ideal for those who seek solo custody to neglect or prohibit the other parent when they are available, and are equally fit to take important decisions of child's life. The either parents seek this custodian position just to be hassle free by avoiding the other parent, this is an unfair standard.
