Answer #1

One of the most important and critical stages as mentioned by Erik Erikson in the generativity vs stagnation stage is that it would bring more responsibilities and challenges. This would mean that when people are equipped with better job, formed a family, have enough financial back-up, balanced work-life etc. would help them achieve generativity while those who failed to complete all the other stages, one would struggle hard to be productive and would experience stagnation. It’s important for people to build competency, confidence, skills and ability to complete education, form friends and family, get an employment and be active in the job, save money to look after children and aged parents etc. in order not to get into midlife crisis.
