The United States economy is not a pure capitalist economy but rather a mixed economy. This is evidenced by all of the above. (Unemployment compensation, social security and subsidized housing.)

Most people think that the United States economy is a capitalistic economy which promotes the welfare of only the rights of the individuals and their properties but it has been proven otherwise. The government in recent times has taken lots of welfare measure that aligns the government with socialism. Measures such as unemployment compensation, social security and subsidized housing, medical insurance, free education, disabled rights, nutritious food for the unhealthy and poor children etc. has shown the socialistic face of the U.S. economy.
