The impact of groups on people's behavior can be seen in phenomena such as; conformity i.e. the behavior in accordance with socially accepted conventions, obedience, groupthink, (making decisions as a group, resulting typically in unchallenged, poor-quality decision-making), social facilitation, (the tendency for people to perform differently when in the presence of others than when alone) social loafing,( the phenomenon of a person exerting less effort to achieve a goal when they work in a group than when they work alone) altruism, and attraction as they all relate to group behavior.
