morality is derived from anyone of the norms prevalent in society: this refers to

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Morality refers to the decision, action, and intention that individuals differentiate as proper and improper. And norms are the standard of behavior which a group of people agrees to, which will regulate their relationship. As such morality is derived from the norms. This is because when the group of people agrees to a behavior as inappropriate, this then is later considered as immoral. The decision of whether a thing is correct or incorrect largely depends on what they have being taught by the society. Hence, norms of a society do have an influence on morality.
