According to Cohen there are five stages of language development babbling, one word stage, two word stage , telegraphic stage and multiword stage a child achieve this stages at differe level of his life at different ages. The 5 educational implications that can be derived from Cohen are:

1. At the primary stage children should be taught only sounds of different letters.
2. At first grade they should be taught to connect simple and short words .
3. Children should be encouraged to form words and given opportunity to talk and interact with each other.
4. chidren should be exposed to print media like picture story books and simple poems and they should asked to narrate them to others or read them together.
5. sentence making games and activities should be encouraged in class and small topics should to be asssigned to children to speak upon like themselves, their parents, teacher, friend.
