Anselm’s ontological argument for the existence of God assumes that a being that exists in reality is greater than a being that exists only in the understanding. Explain how, on the basis of this reasoning, he “proves” that God exists.
In the year 1978 a french monk Anselm astonished the world with his philosophy that God exists.And according to him , the god is best thing possible we can imagine.
1. It is possible that god exists
2. If it is possible that god exists ,then god exists in some
possible worlds .
3. If god exists in some possible worlds, than god exists in all
possible worlds.
4. If god exists in all possible worlds, then god exists in the
actual world.
5. If god exists in actual world , then god exists.
God is maxilmly great being and if he is maxmily great then he exists because it is necessary.
Necessary: An entity that exists in all possible worlds.
A square does not have a three sides , and if it had then it is not a square .It is necessary for a square ti have four side then only it will be called a square.
If God possibly exists than God actually exist.
So that means Gods exists.
