Structural functionalism is concerned with broad social, political” and economic patterns that shape society as a whole. society is viewed as a complex system whose parts work together to promote solidarity and stability. Thus, institutions such as the police work to maintain law and order in society. And from this point of view, the handing over of a parking ticket would be interpreted as a socially acceptable practice by the law enforcement agency in order to maintain stability by reducing instances of breaking the law and encourage peace and conformity in the citizens.
