There are two types of MO's (motivating operations). UMO and CMO. UMOs can be defined as those biological conditions which are already present in human beings which motivate to survive. There are MOs which are learned depending on ones past experiences and they are conditioned motivating operations
Unconditioned motivating operations refers to incidents, functions, and have unlearned value-altering consequences. Conditioned motivating operations refers to variables that change the reinforcing consequences of other incidents and functions that are learned due to learning history.
