Answer #1

One of the most important contemporary ethical issue is the substance abuse among the youngsters. This not only affects them physically but also makes them non-functional, unpredictable, unproductive and make them lose their interest in life. This is a serious threat to any country that depends on its youngsters. Utilitarian Ethics suggests that any action will be considered ethical if it maximizes utility or benefit to many and reduce harm, otherwise it’s an unethical act. Substance abuse harms those who use them and affects those who are around them and related to them.
